Overview

The Provincial Corporate Governance Office supports the Madang Provincial Administrator by strengthening institutional frameworks, risk management, and accountability across all provincial entities. It develops and enforces governance policies, monitors compliance with national legislation and provincial directives, and provides strategic advice on corporate planning and ethical standards. By fostering transparency and best practices, the office ensures that provincial operations deliver maximum public value and align with good governance principles.

Overview

The Provincial Corporate Governance, Districts & Local-Level Government Office strengthens local governance and accountability across Madang Province. It develops and enforces corporate governance frameworks, ensures districts and LLGs comply with national and provincial legislation, and provides strategic guidance on planning and resource management. By facilitating collaboration between the Provincial Administration, the Department of Provincial & Local Government Affairs, and grassroots councils, the office promotes transparency, efficiency, and service delivery. Through capacity building, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement, it empowers local governments to respond effectively to community needs and provincial priorities.
