Key Geographic Features

Coastline & Islands

Madang boasts over 500km of coastline along the Bismarck Sea, with numerous offshore islands including Karkar, Bagabag, and the Schouten Islands.

Mountain Ranges

The province contains parts of the Finisterre and Adelbert Ranges, with peaks reaching over 4,000 meters. Mount Wilhelm (4,509m), PNG's highest peak, lies near the provincial border.
